Show appreciation because we all know there is no fat man in a suit or scary little elf making this magic happen. The holidays are hard enough from gift giving, plans, activities, daily usual shit, and then adding travel or disappointment to it is a thousand times worse. Don’t pressure your military loved ones. Don’t get angry because Mom cried a little as she sits with her empty stocking. Don’t worry that your Christmas looks a little different as you battle with your household good stickers that never go away. Merry Christmas from my hot mess military family to yours!
